Gilmore House chooses to focus on the importance of fun and play in evaluating and treating children with disabilities. Our treatments aim on helping children with physical, sensory or cognitive disability in achieving independence in all areas of their lives while enhancing their self esteem and sense of accomplishment. Therapy doesn’t have to be a tedious and boring session; when kids are having fun, they are more likely to maintain focus on the task and their fine motor skills actually progress toward the planned goals more efficiently.
Whether it’s themed table tasks, cookies or cupcakes decorating, playdough and putty, crumpling ribbons or wheelbarrow walking, at Gilmore House we will never be short of ideas to stimulate the kids in developing bilateral hand use, fine motor control, core strength, visual perception and so on. Our amazing Occupational Therapists turn every playful moment into meaningful progress where each activity is thoughtfully designed to spark joy and development—so kids leave smiling, strong, and ready for more!
