Intervention Program
In keeping our high standard for the intervention programs, we’ve partnered with two of the world’s most trusted intervention programs—the STAR Program (USA) and the Fitzroy Program (Australia). As fully licensed providers, our team receives ongoing training and expert support directly from the program creators. This means your child benefits from proven, research-backed methods that are always up to date with the latest best practices.
We know that every child is unique, and that’s why we maintain a 1:2 child-to-interventionist ratio in all our intervention programs—never more than 1:3. This small group setting allows us to truly understand your child’s needs, offer personalized support, and build strong, nurturing relationships that help them thrive.
What makes our intervention program truly unique is how we seamlessly integrate all therapy sessions as a part of our comprehensive module, offering a more well-rounded and cohesive approach to your child’s development. Enhancing their social skills, we love bringing the kids on little trips to visit our friendly neighbors like the grocery store, local marts, or bakeries—places where they can interact and practice real-world communication and tasks. And every term, we plan fun outings to exciting spots like play centres, zoos, farms, aquariums, and science centres— because learning happens best when kids are happy, curious, and having fun!
We truly believe that every child is unique—which is why we don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. In group therapy settings, especially for children with special needs, peer influence can have a big impact. It can either help a child grow or, in some cases, hold them back. That’s why we take the time to do a thorough 5-day trial period before placing your child in a group.
During this time, our dedicated team of interventionists and therapists observe and work closely with your child across different settings. This gives us a deeper understanding of their needs, strengths, and potential—often spotting things that may not show up in a shorter session. After the trial, we thoughtfully place each child based not only on their developmental age but also on their individual skills, ensuring they’re in the best environment to grow, thrive, and feel confident
At Gilmore House, progress is our priority. That’s why we host Gilmore Goal Day at the end of every term—a special time for us and parents to come together, reflect on past achievements, and set fresh, meaningful goals for the term ahead.
To keep things transparent and efficient, we stay closely connected with families through our Dojo app, where daily updates showcase your child’s activities, milestones, and moments of joy—so you’re always informed and ready to celebrate every step forward!
EIP: Early Intervention Program
Our Early Intervention Program is thoughtfully structured into three levels—Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3—based on each child’s level of independence, academic readiness, and social development. What makes this program extra special is our The More The Merrier group therapy session, held weekly by our team of skilled and caring therapists. During this one-hour session, children explore fun and engaging activities from speech and language, occupational, physiotherapy, and even hydrotherapy—helping them grow while allowing us to gently spot any areas where they might need a little extra support. As your child grows and learns, they’ll move up through the levels at a pace that’s just right for them.
AIEP: Advanced Intervention & Enrichment Program
Our AIEP is designed for children who are ready to take the next step toward school. It’s a great fit for little ones who are already comfortable with skills like sitting for short periods, using their hands for tasks, and expressing themselves. This program introduces a more structured, classroom-style setting, with a focus on early literacy using Fitzroy Readers and building strong foundations in math. At the same time, we continue to include therapy based activities to gently polish their social, communication, and thinking skills—making sure they feel confident, happy, and ready for their school journey.
Stepping Stone Program
The Stepping Stone Program is our newest offering for parents who want to support their child’s academic journey—especially if they need a little extra help catching up or keeping up. Held once a week, parents can choose to enrol their child in Fitzroy Readers & Jolly Phonics, Fitzroy Maths, or both. Each session lasts an hour and includes all the learning materials—no extra prep needed! It’s a simple yet effective way to help your child feel more confident and capable in school, with guidance every step of the way.
